See The World Through a Concurrent Mapping or Real Mapping Lens

The historical maps you saw in school are mostly wrong. They show a strong European bias to the borders of the world and often leave off interior African kingdoms, Australian Aboriginal Sovereign Tribes and Sovereign Native American Tribes which existed/exist concurrently with European Colonies. Often lands will be left blank on maps until a European presence is there when there are actually dozens or hundreds of vibrant nations already in existence. During the Covid isolation, I painstakingly drew 12 maps showing reasonably accurate depictions of Sovereign Native Tribes as they existed throughout the world. I am currently seeking the best mapping platform to create a series of digital maps for an interactive historical atlas. Such an application would help correct the erasure of Native histories by omission and serve as an educational tool for learners of all ages, around the world.
